October ROUNDUP
October has been a busy one with all our usual groups and workshops ending the month with our awesome Halloween parties - thank you so much to everyone who came. We presented our accounts along with our new Impact Video which you can see here 👉
Many thanks to some of our playgroup families who helped us with filming a piece with STV news around the National paternity campaign we are involved in.
We were sorry to say goodbye to our Maddy who started off with us as a Social Work student on our Young Dads Project, then having graduated joined the team to lead our New Dads support. She’s done a really amazing job of building up the service and working with our Peer Support Volunteers to provide support to around 40 new dads every year. If you’d like to know more about our perinatal support look here: PSDadsRock
Billy has joined us as a new Dads Worker! Based in North Ayrshire with Ryan, he’ll be helping us expand the support we give to families alongside the Health and Social Care Partnership.
We are so grateful to everyone who brought a ticket and helped us raise over £3000 from our Oasis Ticket Prize Draw - our lucky winner, Mrs P from Edinburgh, was over the moon and cannie wait to go and see them 🎶🎸. Thanks also to the awesome kids who helped us create some great videos - they’re all rock and roll stars (if you missed it check back onour socials)!
For any budding musicians out there we’ve got some guitars for sale! Take a look 👀
Shout out to a couple of fundraisers this month! Laura took on the Great Scottish Run raising over £300 and Mark took part in an Ultra Comedy Night raising £130. Thank you so much for your amazing support.
We also published a blog on World Mental Health Day, recognising that having a child is one of the biggest challenges and transitions in life and publishing our annual survey results. You can read more about that here: WMHD
