We’re in Dundee!

This month Dads Rock is launching our NEW Dundee support for Dads! A huge welcome to Fiona, our Dundee Family Worker, who has lots of experience working with young people, delivery of workshops and is a compassionate healthcare professional. She’s going to be working closely with the NHS Tayside midwifery teams focusing on Dads from the antenatal stage through to postnatal stage. Edinburgh Baby Group

Great News! We’ve been awarded funding to keep our Dads and Baby Groups going on Tuesdays at 6.30pm. this group is for Dads who are expecting or have new babies to come and meet other dads, explore babies needs and learn how to grow your connection. If you are wanting to spend some quality time with your wee one(s) and chat with some other local dads, our groups are the place for you. Here is the groups that we are running in April:

North Ayrshire: In North Ayrshire we have an Irvine Dads Group on Sundays at 10.30am and a Three Towns Dads Group on Wednesdays at 6.30pm. These will take place every week apart from the 16th and 20th of April.

Glasgow: In Glasgow we have a playgroup on Every Saturday at 10am in Maryhill.

Edinburgh: In Edinburgh we run playgroups every Saturday and Sunday at 10am as well as our Dads and Baby Groups on Tuesdays at 6.30pm.

TRIPS

North Ayrshire: This month we are headed out for an Egg Hunt at Eglinton Park in North Ayrshire. Join us on Saturday the 19th to have an egg-citing time egg-sploring the park! (sorry, I couldn’t resist)

Edinburgh & Glasgow: We’re hoping to sort out some fire station trips! 🚒

Workshops

Dads Antenatal: We are starting off the month of April with a Dads Antenatal Workshop in Edinburgh on the 3rd at 7pm. Come along to this 2-hour session dedicated to teaching Dads about what to expect and how to prepare for a new baby.

Hairstyle: Just for Dads and kids! Come and find out how to look after and style your wee ones hair in pony tails and plaits! Next workshop is Edinburgh on the 19th of April during the regular playgroup.

All of our workshops are free, however we ask that attendees consider making a suggested donation of £10 to help cover costs. You can pay on the night, or here: Dads Rock Donate

March ROUND-UP

We finished our Spring Raffle, managing to raise over £800! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to support our work. All proceeds are going towards continuing our mission to support dads and their families across Scotland. If you haven’t already seen it, you can check out the results here.

We ran two antenatal workshops in March, one in Glasgow and one Online as well as a First Aid workshop in Edinburgh. We love running these workshops and are looking forward to doing more of them in the future.

On March 21st we celebrated Single Parents Day in partnership with 16 organisations from around the UK. You can read more about what we did here.
