there are plenty of fun things to do for all the family in Glasgow! from historic venues and museums, to parks and libraries, there really is something for all ages! we’ve compiled a list of the dads rock team’s favourite places around glasgow to visit.

1. Kelvingrove Art Gallery - a firm favourite with Dads Rock, Kelvingrove is a treasure trove of art and natural history. There are plenty of interactive exhibitions, tunnels and more so little ones can get right into the action!

They have a full programme for families, including their Mini Museum Explorers trains for under 5’s, ‘Discover’ activities, and plenty specialised activities depending on your wee one’s interests! You can find the full programme here.

2. Glasgow Botanic Gardens - the botanic gardens are always a gorgeous sight in Glasgow and a great way to connect with nature while still being in the city. The Victorian Glasshouses are a particular favourite, with lots of interesting plants and history about the gardens, as well as a QR code-guided Tree Trail.

3. The Riverside Museum - another one that’s popped up on our Dads Trips, The Riverside Museum houses over 3000 artefacts that tell the story of Glasgow’s history, transport, engineering and more. You can also walk through olden-day Glasgow, visit shops and streets, and even have a seat in an old pub.

4. Your local library - there are lots of different libraries across Glasgow, and are the perfect place to snuggle up with a good book, learn something new or get involved in activities. Libraries often hold a variety of different book groups, Book Bug sessions, arts and crafts and more, so this is the perfect place to get involved with the local community. 5. Come to a Dads Rock event!

Dads Rock hosts a huge range of different events that you and your little one can get involved in, all for free!. We hold playgroups every Saturday at Easterhouse Sports Centre from 10:30am, with plenty of activities. You can join us for various workshops, such as our hairstyling workshop which your little one can get involved with, First Aid, antenatal and more.
