April Round up

April was a little calmer for the Dads Rock crew, as everyone got some well-deserved time off during the Easter holiday.

We still provided a busy programme of activities including some new ones!

  • We moved back outside with our Saturday playgroups Dads in the Wood in Edinburgh and Glasgow, where dads have a lot of fun playing, bug hunting and making dens with their kids. You can join us by looking here: DitWEdi DitWGla

  • Our 8 week Forest school ‘Kids in the Wood’ started this month - thank you to everyone who signed up and is coming along.

  • Our usual programme of workshops has been running, including the new Raising Teens with Confidence course, which a lot of Dads and Mums with slightly older kids are finding really helpful.

April was all about Science for our Dad Trips! We went to the Edinburgh Science Festival and the Glasgow Science Museum where Dads were able to enjoy themselves with their children, learn new things and have fun. One of the highlights was getting to build our own dinosaurs!

Coming up in May

May will be jam packed with workshops and groups! We’ve got Antenatal online and in Glasgow, First Aid in Edinburgh and the remaining Raising Teens with Confidence sessions. We’ve got some special arts workshops for Dads and children in Edinburgh coming up, Dads in the Wood in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, a New Dads chat online, and our trips at the end of the month. If you want to join any of these activities check out our calendar for more information and sign up details: calendar

Save the Date!

Our Father's Day Family Takeover event is coming! It’s on Sunday 18th June 10am at Saughton Park.

We’re going to play games, do some circus activities and generally have some fun! We would love you to bring a picnic and join us. Keep an eye on your inbox for more information and sign up details.
